University of Baltimore - The School of Health and Human Services of the College of Public Affairs invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the Health Systems Management Program beginning no later than August 2013 (contingent upon final budgetary approval). This position requires traditional classroom instruction at both the undergraduate and graduate level and may also include teaching hybrid and online courses.

Areas of specialization to be considered are: health information technology, health law, health planning, health finance & accounting, quantitative analysis, and health policy.  This position requires that the person hired be an active member of the faculty who contributes to program development, governance, and sustainability. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. 

Candidates for this position must hold a doctorate in Health Administration or a relevant health care specialization. Candidates should have a record of scholarly activities appropriate to the rank for which they are applying and clearly demonstrate the potential for quality university instruction and service to their profession and the university. Experience in hybrid teaching and online education is a plus.

The University of Baltimore, located in downtown Baltimore, is part of the University System of Maryland serving a diverse urban professional community.  The School offers both a B.S. and M.S. degree in Health Systems Management. Candidates will be joining a well-established program within the College of Public Affairs with a distinguished faculty of six full-time faculty. Faculty members have advanced degrees from Johns Hopkins University; Harvard University; the Maxwell School of Public Affairs at Syracuse University; the University of Maryland, Baltimore County; and Carnegie Mellon University. Two members of the faculty are Fellows of the National Academy of Public Administration and one faculty member is a Fulbright Scholar.
