Dean Laura Bryan cordially invites you to join her in thanking Suzanne Behr for her invaluable service at UB. Suzanne served as Transfer Coordinator at Baltimore City Community College prior to transferring to UB herself. In her eighteen years here, she has assisted countless students in pursuing their goals and succeeding in their educations. For much of her time here, Suzanne was the only professional advisor in the College of Liberal Arts, as well as the sole staff member for the IDIS program. From working with students directly, she developed a thorough grasp on student progress, and advanced to Director of Academic Advising for CLA and later the Yale Gordon College of Arts and Sciences; as such, she has trained all of the current advisors in both CPA and CAS. She has also been the go-to person for faculty for clarifications, solutions, and guidance regarding academic regulations for almost two decades. Clearly, her influence has been extensive, but, more than her many accomplishments, it has been her kindness and generosity that have shaped much of the work we do with our students. She will be sorely missed and impossible to replace, but we wish her the best in her journeys to come.
Please attend the reception to be held in Suzanne’s honor on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 from 3 – 5 pm in the Yale Gordon College of Arts and Sciences Dean’s Suite, Learning Commons 103.
