"Private Equity—Opportunities and Challenges," a panel discussion with industry experts, will be hosted by the University of Baltimore Investment Society on Thursday, March 6 beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Town Hall in UB's Learning Commons, 1415 Maryland Ave. Free and open to the public, the event offers insights into the private equity industry for students, finance professionals and entrepreneurs seeking venture capital. Registration is required; attedance details listed below.
Scheduled panelists include:
- Todd Lazenby, managing partner for Victory Partners and Royal Ascot Partners
- Thomas M. Neale, managing partner for Patriot Capital
- Scott Soffen, CFA, CAIA, senior investment officer for American Trading and Production Corporation
- John C. Weiss III, executive in residence for finance in the University of Baltimore's Merrick School of Business
Following a half-hour networking opportunity from 5:30 to 6 p.m., opening remarks and the panel discussion will continue until 8 p.m. An additional hour of networking will be available following closing remarks.
