The Robert G. Merrick School of Business at the University of Baltimore invites applications for the position of Professor or Associate Professor and Chair, Department of Accounting. The position is available beginning fall 2012 and is subject to final budget approval.   Appointments may be made carrying immediate tenure provided the candidate has appropriate credentials and after meeting a formal review.  Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Candidates should hold a doctoral degree in accounting from an AACSB International accredited university.  The candidate must also have a proven research record. Individuals with research and teaching interests in the area of auditing and a CPA certification are preferred.  Preference will also be given to candidates with first-hand experience in managing personnel and budgets, strong communications skills and the ability to interact effectively with the professional accounting community and business partners.  Experience with accounting curricula, assessment of learning outcomes and AACSB accreditation are also essential.
