October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month
As we move more and more of our lives to an online medium -- from communication and socialization to banking, buying and account management -- we need to be aware of what we share with whom and how to protect our information from getting into the wrong hands. It's a continuous process, but the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) has designated October as Cyber Security Awareness Month to focus on helping individuals, organizations, and communities keep their online lives safe and secure.
UB is committed to playing its part in raising cyber security awareness. To align with NCSA, OTS sponsors:
- An online campaign in October featuring timely tips and resources pertaining to cyber security
- A student contest
