This session is the second of the two spring semester Business Etiquette and Networking Exercises. This event is for students currently enrolled in MGMT 330 business community guests.

The Merrick School of Business requires undergraduate business students to take a course focused on the personal and professional skills needed to succeed in the workforce (MGMT 330). The course is designed to give students the skill sets to successfully interface with potential employers. Course modules include business etiquette and professional behavior, appropriate use of workplace communication, and written business communications.

On Tuesday, October 16th, we invite alumni, local business leaders, faculty and staff to join us and participate in a networking reception focused on Business Etiquette and Networking.

Specifically the students need you to:

  • Critique their interpersonal behavior and professional conduct; and
  • Evaluate their ability to articulate their personal visions, goals, and career hopes. 

When: Thursday, March 14, 2012

Time: 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

  • 8:00 – 9:00 p.m.  - Networking Reception (with continental breakfast)
  • 9:00 – 10:00 p.m.  - Feedback Session with Students

MGMT 330 Personal and Professional Skills for Business Course Description:
Provides students with the skills necessary to advance their career development. Strategies and practices that allow the student to successfully interface with potential employers are explored and applied. Course modules include business etiquette and professional behavior, appropriate use of workplace communication techniques, written business communications, and showcasing career building talents and skills within an organizational context.
