Description:

Learn to create your own website using Adobe Dreamweaver, one of the most powerful and popular tools for creating web pages. By the end of the workshop, youíll have created a sample site ready for publishing to the Web. UB students, staff and faculty can publish
their sites using their UB accounts; non-UB
attendees require an established hosting
account. Adobe Dreamweaver CS5 will be used.

 

Specific Topics: identifying whatís new in Adobe Dreamweaver CS5; managing domain names and hosting; setting up project files and defining a local folder; learning website design fundamentals (layouts, templates, HTML/Dreamweaver relationship); refining design skills (images, tables, divs, links, anchors/bookmarks, CSS basics); designing interactive website elements (pop-up windows, dynamic Web page behaviors, navigation menus)

 

Prerequisites: familiarity with the Internet; Langsdale Libraryís Introduction to HTML
workshop is recommended but not required
