Congress began to re-examine its approach to the “War on Drugs” in 2010 when it passed the Fair Sentencing Act, which pulled back from mandatory minimum sentences. The panelists will discuss many issues surrounding this topic, including possible alternatives to incarceration and whether mandatory minimum sentences are useful.
