Public Demonstration of Proposed New Voting System

Today from 2 to 7 p.m., a public demonstration of a voting system developed by Dominion Voting Systems Inc. will be conducted by the Maryland State Board of Elections, in cooperation with the University of Baltimore. The demonstration is free and open to the public, and no reservation is required. It will take place in the William H. Thumel Sr. Business Center (home of the Merrick School of Business), Room 135. The center is located at 11 W. Mt. Royal Ave.

You can learn about and try out a voting system that may be proposed for use in Maryland's elections beginning in 2016. The system is a paper-based optical scan voting system with an accessible unit for voters with disabilities. Comments about the proposed voting system will be accepted.

The demonstration is free and open to the public. No reservations are required.
