As a strengths-based environment, we encourage our students to do what they do best every day. Our goal is to provide the training and tools useful for discovering one's talents, developing those talents into strengths, and applying those strengths in school and at work. Not only do students have the opportunity to focus on what they do well, but our staff, faculty and alumni are invited to embrace this innovative approach with roots in positive psychology for increased feelings of engagement on all levels.
To facilitate these efforts, we have a Strengths Advisory Board comprised of various constituents who meet regularly to promote the implementation, training and assessment of strengths-based programs throughout campus.
We invite everyone in our community to explore the strengths-based approach in their pursuit of academic, personal and career goals and welcome questions, comments, suggestions and participation.
