Gender Neutral Restrooms

Restrooms are located in the Student Center, Lower Level (2 Bathrooms).

University Resources

All questions or concerns related to unlawful discrimination or sexual harassment should be directed to the Office of Community Life and Dean of Students, which can be reached by called 410-837-4755. They are located in the Academic Center in Room 112. 

Mental Health Care (for students, staff, and faculty)

The Counseling Center is a supporting office of the Safe Space initiative. The psychologists there provide students with freeshort term individual counseling for a wide variety of issues. Walk-in hours are available on Mondays and Tuesdays from 10-11:30am and on Wednesdays from 4-5:30pm. If after an initial assessment you still believe you would like some help, you will either be connected with a counselor on staff, or given a referral to an appropriate resource in the local community.

The Counseling Center is located in the Academic Center, Room 111. The telephone number is 410.837.5159.

Employee Assistance Program (for university staff and faculty)

UB offers an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), a confidential service available to faculty, exempt, non-exempt, and contingent II employees. The EAP provides employees and their household members with free, confidential assistance to help with personal or professional problems that may interfere with work or family responsibilities and obligations. Services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via a toll-free number (800.765.3277).

In addition to the support the Diversity and Culture Center provides for our LGBTQ community, there are community resources available for students in the immediate area. Below is a list of identified resources for the LGBTQ community:
