Fitness and Wellness Policies

  • Group Exercise

    • Classes are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and are limited based on space and availability of equipment.
    • Classes will be cancelled 15 minutes after the start time if less than 2 participants are present (not including the instructor).
    • Proper exercise attire, including footwear and upper and lower body clothing, is required. Bare feet is only permitted during a scheduled yoga class within the aerobic studio.
    • Water is permitted in resealable containers only. Other beverages and food are not permitted.
    • Audio equipment is for instructor use only.
    • Fitness equipment is for its intended purpose and must remain in the activity space.
    • The schedule is subject to change due to special events and/or low participation. Classes with 3 consecutive weeks of participation of 3 patrons or less are subject to being permanently removed from the schedule.
    • Participants may be asked to leave due to inappropriate behavior at the instructor's discretion.
    • CRW is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. It is highly recommend that you secure personal belongings in a locker. Please see our locker policy.
    • Any individual observed to be instructing members in the facility that is not employed as a CRW group exercise instructor may have their Recreation Center privileges suspended or revoked at the discretion of the Executive Director.
  • Personal Training

    • Personal training is restricted to only those individuals that have been specifically employed by CRW. Any participant observed to be personal training with a member in the facility that is not employed as a CRW personal trainer may have their Recreation Center privileges suspended or revoked at the discretion of the Executive Director.
    • Personal training participants must complete and submit all forms in the Personal Training Packet along with the registration fees prior to scheduling the first session.
    • If a participant answers "Yes" to any questions on the PAR-Q questionnaire, they must also complete and return a Physician's Clearance Form prior to beginning training sessions.
    • Personal training packages/sessions must be used within the semester in which they were purchased. Packages/Sessions are non-refundable and non-transferable.
    • Clients are assigned to trainers based on availability.
    • Personal training packages include a fitness assessment.
    • The personal trainer and the client will agree to complete the sessions purchased. Sessions will be scheduled at mutually convenient, agreed upon times.
    • If the client is unable to make a scheduled session, he/she must notify the personal trainer at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to do so will result in the client forfeiting the session and no refund will be granted.
    • CRW permits a 15-minute grace period for late arrival to a scheduled session. The trainer is only required to wait 15 minutes past the scheduled meeting time. The personal trainer may or may not be able to extend the training session to make up the 15 minutes. Failure to make the session within the 15-minute grace period qualifies it as a no-show and deduction of one session from the package.
