Flip through the program from our 2012 end-of-year M.F.A. Graduate Reading and Book Fair, featuring our graduates' work. We have such talent among us!

The M.F.A. Reading Series brings renowned authors and poets to the UB campus to share words and insights in an intimate setting with Creative Writing & Publishing Arts students.

Question-and-answer sessions following each reading allow students to prod the experts for the information that matters most to them.

  • Monday, Feb. 17, 7 p.m.: Poet Gayle Danley, hosted by Kimberley Lynne, Wright Theatre
  • Monday, March 10, 7 p.m.: A Night With Ugly Duckling Presse, hosted by Adam Robinson, Bogomolny Room
  • Thursday, April 10, 12:30-1:30 p.m.: Favorite Poem Reading, hosted by Kendra Kopelke, Liberal Arts and Policy Building, Room 308
    (Bring a favorite poem to share!)
  • Thursday, April 10, 7:30 p.m.: F. Scott Fitzgerald reading, directed by Jon Shorr, Bogomolny Room
  • Tuesday, April 22, 7 p.m.: Novelist Jaimy Gordon, Bogomolny Room
  • Friday, May 9, 7 p.m.: M.F.A. Seminar Reading, Wright Theater

These events are free and open to the public; sponsored by the Hearst Visiting Scholars Fund and the Klein Family Fund.
