The digital design studio includes 40 state-of-the-art Macintosh computers spread across several working areas and updated regularly. Software installed includes Adobe Creative Cloud, Cinema 4D, Apple Logic Pro X, and Apple Final Cut Pro. All of the workstations are late models with solid-state drives and CD/DVD-R burners are available for use. Most stations are equipped with high-end photo-quality scanners, and there is a slide tray scanner and large-format scanner as well.
Software resources include more than 14,000 type fonts (and software to help manage, preview and choose them), an image database of more than 100,000 royalty-free images, all of which are searchable and retrievable via a single-source database, a full sound effects library, royalty-free music library, and royalty-free HD video stock footage library.
Output options include high-resolution black-and-white laser printers, a color laser printer (up to tabloid-extra size) a 36-inch, 12-color Postscript color poster printer, a laser cutter/engraver (laser instructions), and high-resolution 3D printing.
The digital design studio is staffed by students, who can troubleshoot technical problems, assist with some procedures, and answer students’ questions.
