The University of Baltimore's MFA in Creative Writing & Publishing Arts program will hold its annual book festival and reading on May 19. The program's 2024 graduates will read selections from their books, and authors will sell their books as part of the event.

Bob Parsons, B.S. '75, D.H.L. '08, a Baltimore native, founder of a string of globally successful companies and now a billionaire philanthropist, will return to his alma mater on May 6 for his literary debut, a memoir called Fire in the Hole! Parsons will read from the book, engage in a conversation about its many insights (including his experience as a U.S. Marine fighting in Vietnam), sign copies of the book and meet with attendees at a special reception.
