UB Marks Constitution Day with Supreme Court Preview, Sept. 17

The University of Baltimore will celebrate Constitution Day on Wednesday, Sept. 17, with a preview of key cases that will be heard by the U.S. Supreme Court in the 2014 term. The event will take place beginning at 5 p.m. in the UB School of Law's Moot Courtroom, located in the John and Frances Angelos Law Center, 1401 N. Charles St. The event is free and open to the public; an R.S.V.P. is requested (details below).
UB School of Law Professors Kimberly Brown, Gilda Daniels, Amy Dillard, Natalie Ram and Elizabeth Samuels will lead a discussion on the Supreme Court cases that are expected to receive significant attention this fall. Law Professor C.J. Peters will moderate the discussion.
Constitution Day is an annual national celebration designed to renew the nation's familiarity with the tenets of its founding document. On September 17, 1787, the U.S. Constitution was signed by the delegates to the Constitutional Convention and prepared for ratification by the states.
