In an interview on WJZ-TV concerning news about the release of Alan Gross, an American being held in Cuba, followed by an announcement that the United States is seeking to normalize relations with the island nation, University of Baltimore President Kurt Schmoke says there is potential for the two countries to move beyond their Cold War stance.
"Maybe there's an opening to Cuba the way Nixon opened up to China," Schmoke says.
