UB Announces Speakers for Its Undergraduate, Graduate Commencement Ceremonies, Both on May 19

The University of Baltimore will host commencement ceremonies for its graduate and undergraduate classes on Tuesday, May 19 in the Patricia and Arthur Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric, adjacent to the UB campus.
For the graduate ceremony, beginning at 10:30 a.m., the speaker will be Carla D. Hayden, CEO of the Enoch Pratt Free Library. For the undergraduate ceremony, taking place at 2 p.m. that same day, the speaker will be William E. Kirwan, chancellor of the University System of Maryland.
At both ceremonies, UB President Kurt L. Schmoke will offer greetings to the graduating students and their guests, and also lead in the conferring of all degrees. At the undergraduate ceremony, Schmoke will be joined by Jeff Glock, B.S. '88, president of the University of Baltimore Alumni Association, in welcoming the audience to the undergraduate ceremony. Stuart M. Goldberg, B.A. '70, J.D. '74, executive vice president of the UB Alumni Association, will join Schmoke in the same role at the graduate ceremony.
Student Morgan Denner will offer remarks at the undergraduate ceremony as the official Class of 2015 representative. Student Courtney L. Smith will serve same role as the Class of 2015 representative at the graduate ceremony.
The University of Baltimore is a member of the University System of Maryland and comprises the College of Public Affairs, the Merrick School of Business, the UB School of Law and the Yale Gordon College of Arts and Sciences.
