Title IX: Sex Discrimination Policy

The University of Baltimore ("University" or "UBalt") is committed to providing a working and learning environment safe from Sexual Harassment, Sexual Misconduct and Retaliation. The University accomplishes this through training, education, prevention programs, and policies and procedures that promote prompt reporting, prohibit Retaliation, and implement timely, fair and impartial investigations and resolutions that ensure due process and remedy Policy violations.

Title IX Reporting Form

Individuals who have witnessed or experienced sexual misconduct may report the incident to the University using the Title IX Reporting Form. Reports are sent directly to the Title IX Coordinator, who oversees all sex discrimination matters at the University. If you have any questions about this form or the University’s process for responding to and resolving incidents of sexual misconduct, please contact the Title IX Coordinator at T9@ubalt.edu or 410.837.5020.

 

Important Note: THIS IS NOT A POLICE REPORT. THIS IS NOT A FORMAL COMPLAINT.

• If this is an emergency or you currently feel at risk for your personal safety on UBalt campus, please dial 911. Your call will be routed simultaneously to both Baltimore's 911 operations and the University of Maryland, Baltimore Police. A dispatcher will respond and UMB officers, stationed at UBalt, will be on scene immediately.
• Call 410.837.4444 for non-emergency service requests on the UBalt campus. You will reach the UBalt Safety and Security department. A UBalt Safety and Security team member will respond to your call and provide fast and appropriate assistance.

Non-Discrimination Policy

The University of Baltimore is committed to providing a working and learning environment free from all types of discrimination prohibited by State and Federal laws, including on the basis of sex, gender, marital status, pregnancy, race, color, ethnicity, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran status, or other legally protected characteristics (hereinafter "Protected Status"). • Faculty and Staff may contact the Employee Assistance Program 24-hours a day by calling 1.855.410.7628. Faculty and staff looking for additional support may also contact the Office of Human Resources at 410.837.5410.

Pregnancy Policy

This form assists the Office of Disability and Access Services (DAS) in determining whether, or to what extent, academic adjustments or modifications for pregnancy or parenting students can be granted. Title IX provides protections for pregnant/parenting students. The appropriateness of specific reasonable adjustments varies based on student needs and what is fundamental to the course or program in question.

 

If you are unsure of how to answer a question, do your best to provide the information. You will have the opportunity to review and discuss everything during the Intake meeting prior to making any final decisions.
