Recent UBalt Initiatives: Making an Impact

Beginning in fall 2025, The University of Baltimore will host classes for Baltimore City College High School—one of the nation's oldest and most prestigious public high schools—while their facilities undergo large-scale renovations. This three-year arrangement will bring about 1,400 students, plus teachers and staff, to the UBalt campus. Our plans call for students to take classes in existing and converted space in the Academic and Business centers. Food services will be provided in the Academic Center, with dining occurring in both buildings.
University of Baltimore President Kurt L. Schmoke says the Baltimore City Police Education and Training Center on the UBalt campus represents an important step forward. The move further demonstrates the BPD's commitment to fulfilling the federal consent decree that mandated the training facility's relocation.
