Here are just five reasons to become a Helen P. Denit Honors scholar.

Honors courses are small and taught by the University's best instructors. The curriculum focuses on collaborative dialogue, hands-on learning and lots of fun.

Become a global citizen. It's easy to participate in UBalt's many service and global field study programs.

Study, take a break or plan your next adventure in the Denit Den—a private lounge, and computer lab just for you. It's stocked with free snacks and coffee to keep you moving and grooving. Check it out in the Academic Center, Room 121.

Through our innovative curriculum, and supported by our own media lab, learn the digital skills necessary to thrive in the modern world.

Application for Honors

Are you ready for an enriching, fun and challenging college experience that celebrates your academic success?

GPA Requirements

  • First-time Undergraduates | Students entering UBalt from with a high school GPA of 3.4 or greater are encouraged to apply.
  • Transfer Students | Students transferring to UBalt from a community college or another four-year university with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or greater are encouraged to apply.
  • Current UBalt Students | All undergraduate students who have a current cumulative grade point average of 3.4 at the University of Baltimore are encouraged to apply.
    Interested students with special circumstances are considered on a case-by-case basis.
