Applying to UBalt

To be admitted as a transfer student, you’ll need a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0. However, some majors may have higher GPA requirements.

No, essays and recommendations are not required for transfer admission.
UBalt has rolling admission, so there is no fixed application deadline. We admit students until the class is full, but it's best to apply early for the best consideration for scholarships and course availability.

Yes, if you’ve earned 30 college credits, you can apply with coursework in progress. Applying early helps ensure you’re considered for scholarships, grants, and the best selection of classes.

Yes, transfer students can be admitted for the summer session, in addition to spring and fall. There are many benefits to transferring in the summer, so we recommend speaking with an admission counselor to see if it's the right choice for you.

Yes, we require transcripts from all institutions you’ve attended for admission.

All official documents, including transcripts from every institution you've attended, must be submitted to the Office of Admission. We cannot accept unofficial transcripts for admission. If you're unable to submit a document, contact your admission counselor to discuss options, such as deferring your application to the next semester.
All documents must be official for admission purposes. You can submit official documents electronically through your current or previous institution (contact your registrar’s office for instructions). Alternatively, documents can be sent directly from the institution to documents@ubalt.edu. You can also deliver an official, sealed copy in person to the UBalt Office of Admission.
