Why Bike to Campus?
Register your bike with the UBalt Police to help protect it in case of theft. Simply provide your bike’s details, which will be entered into a secure database. You’ll receive a registration sticker to place on your bike, making it easier to recover if stolen.
UBalt Police also offer bike locks for added security. Visit the UBalt Police Department at the southeast corner of Mt. Royal and Charles Streets for more information.
The UBalt Bicycling Club is focused on group rides and building a biking community, rather than racing or competition. It’s open to students, faculty, and staff. The club also plays a key role in making "Bike to School" day a success and advocating for bike-friendly practices on campus.
To learn more or join, visit the club’s Facebook page or connect through the Center for Student Engagement and Inclusion.
UBalt offers bicycle racks at most major buildings on campus.
Indoor bicycle parking is available at the Maryland Avenue Garage (MAG) for UBalt community members who live nearby and use their bikes regularly. To store your bike in the MAG, simply register it with UBalt Police.
Sheltered bike parking is located at the Liberal Arts & Policy (LAP) building and the Learning Commons, facing Gordon Plaza. Most racks are monitored by UBalt's security cameras for added security.
Escape the street grid and enjoy the trails near UBalt. The 9-mile Jones Falls Trail is just two blocks away, while the 15-mile Gwynns Falls Trail starts at the Inner Harbor. For more riding options, check out TrailLink to find nearby trails and routes.
