The acute medical and surgical care facility for the VA Maryland Health Care System offers a full range of inpatient, outpatient and primary care services

MakeTheConnection.net connects veterans, their family members and friends, and other advocates with mental health information, local resources, and inspiring stories of recovery. Visitors can find reliable information on how to cope with challenges such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury, military sexual trauma, and transitioning from service. 

Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs provides representation to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, manages and operates authorized Maryland State Veterans Cemeteries and a Civil War Cemetery, maintains and cares for memorials for Maryland Vietnam, Korean and World War II veterans, manages Charlotte Hall Veterans Home and provides staff support and assistance to State Veterans Commissions.

Veterans Integration to Academic Leadership (VITAL) is a U.S. government program that offers information about on- and off-campus resources and student services to support academic success
The Veteran Entrepreneur Portal (VEP) streamlines access to federal services for small businesses and quickly links veteran entrepreneurs to essential resources and best practices.

Scholarships, Fellowships, and Academic Support Resources

The Pat Tillman Foundation provides resources and educational scholarship support to veterans, active service members and their spouses. The Tillman Military Scholars program aids all veterans, specifically the ever-growing population of veterans of Post-9/11 conflicts.

With a network of nearly 1,600 on-campus chapters, Student Veterans of America helps veterans and military-connected students with the resources, support, and advocacy needed to excel in higher education and beyond.

Leadership, Networking and Career Development Opportunities

The Mission Continues awards community-service fellowships to post-9/11 veterans, empowering them to transform their lives by serving others and directly impacting their communities. Fellows serve for six months at a local nonprofit organization addressing key educational, environmental or social issues.
The 6th Branch (T6B) is a veteran-led 501(c)(3) community development nonprofit that channels military values—mission, duty, and love of country—into impactful community service initiatives in Baltimore City. They collaborate with communities to convert vacant land into neighborhood green spaces and support local schools.
