The University of Baltimore Law Alumni Association (UBLAA) is the primary advisory
board that works collaboratively with the School of Law to engage alumni in the life
of the law school. The Board, along with the Law School external relations department,
establishes and implements the alumni relations program.
Board members serve a two-year term and may be nominated and elected for a maximum
of three terms. Board members serve on a minimum of one committee and attend both
board and committee meetings on a regular basis. Board meetings occur four times per
year.
The UBalt Law Alumni Association (UBLAA) Board serves as the body of alumni charged
with planning and implementing engagement and outreach efforts to help keep law alumni
connected to and supporting the law school. The Board oversees UBLAA efforts and serves
as an extension of the law school’s alumni engagement pursuits.
Purpose
The Board exists to:
Strengthen and enhance relationships between alumni and the law school.
Plan and implement alumni programming that provides social and professional engagement
opportunities (e.g., networking, volunteer, and philanthropic opportunities for alumni
to connect and serve).
Inform the law school external relations team about needs, concerns, and general feedback
from alumni.
Make recommendations and support programs that encourage alumni-law school engagement.
Encourage alumni to support the law school both financially and through volunteer
opportunities.
