The University of Baltimore GameLab is a multidisciplinary educational research facility equipped with immersive, visualization and interactive game technologies. It is available for students who want to work on game interface development, test their developed games, work on external projects or develop their portfolio.
The GameLab is designed to support interdisciplinary research in games and media. It is located in the heart of Baltimore at The University of Baltimore. Funded by The University of Baltimore Foundation, the GameLab was founded in 2014 by Sujan Shrestha, associate professor in the Simulation and Game Design program. The lab complements classroom learning and prepares students to apply their knowledge to meaningful applied research in games and emerging technologies.
Our core focus is to develop meaningful technology and explore complex issues in society through research, design, and education with community partnerships. This educational research facility is equipped with immersive, visualization, and interactive game technologies.
The GameLab invites artists and scholars in the field for various activities including workshops and art exhibitions.
