B.A. in Digital Communication

Step into the future of communication! Digital, mobile and social media are now the heartbeat of strategies for businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies. Employers are on the hunt for communication specialists who excel in writing, marketing, and production, all tailored to the cutting-edge technologies of the 21st century.

In our Bachelor of Arts program, you'll:

Digital Communications Students
Our students work in corporate media departments, for nonprofits and for conglomerates, in PR firms and in ad agencies. They design events and promotions, and they graduate understanding not only how to create the product but how to target an audience and make the clients’ voices heard.
Julie Simon Professor

How it works

You'll take a set of seven core courses that provide a broad-based, practical understanding of communication in the 21st century, exploring the history, theory and impact of communication media, especially digital and social media. The courses you take for your focus area will be determined by you and your adviser, based on entrance qualifications and career objectives. You'll supplement your digital communication major courses with general electives and general education studies.

You'll also choose an area of focus:

  • Media Design and Production
  • Digital Theory and Culture
  • Public Relations and Social Media
  • Media Writing.

AMONG THE BEST

Our B.A. in Digital Communication program is ranked #10 among the 25 best bachelor's in digital communications for 2021, according to BachelorsDegreeCenter.com.
