Undergraduate Programs and Certificates

 

B.S. in Applied Information Technology In this program, you'll explore networking, developing desktop and server-based applications and building and supporting websites—learning cutting-edge IT technologies at a much deeper level than that of traditional IT certification training. | A STEM-designated program.
The B.S. in Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations (AIOps) at the University of Baltimore prepares students to become technical leaders in AI-driven IT systems. | A STEM-designated program.
B.A. in Digital Communication  |  Digital, mobile and social media are now integral to the communication strategies of businesses, nonprofit organizations and government agencies. Employers are looking to hire communication specialists versed in writing, marketing and production as they relate to the technologies of the 21st century. Develop expertise in strategy, writing and design for digital media and become an asset to any business or organization. | A STEM-designated program.
B.A. in English | This program prepares you for positions in publications and communications (media production, graphic design, electronic publishing, writing, editing and public relations) and provides a solid education in literary studies for those who intend to pursue careers in teaching or related graduate degrees.
B.A. in Environmental Sustainability | This program prepares you to take on the complex sustainability challenges of the future at every level of society. As an Environmental Sustainability major, you'll be immersed in three areas: environment, society and policy. | A STEM-designated program.
B.A. in History | Law, teaching, museums, libraries, and entrepreneurship—these are just a few of the careers our history majors have pursued after graduating from our program. Really, the better question might be what can’t you do with a history major from the University of Baltimore. 
B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies |  Working with a skilled adviser, you'll construct a cohesive program of study combining the traditional rigors of a liberal arts education with more professionally oriented disciplines. You'll choose three concentration areas from the university’s entire undergraduate portfolio of programs—including business, psychology, human services, digital communications, and much more.
B.A. in Legal Studies | This program provides coursework that builds your legal skills and knowledge. You will take legal studies courses as well as relevant courses from criminal justice; history; and policy, politics and international affairs. 
B.A. in Philosophy, Law, and Ethics |  This program is a selective interdisciplinary major with a core of philosophy courses designed to prepare students for law school, graduate school, and a range of leadership positions in the public and private sectors. Students will find a highly flexible and transfer-friendly curriculum that can be adapted to the interests of each student. 
B.A. in Psychology | Studying psychology can open doors to an exciting, fascinating career, and this program exposes you to the theories, methods and applied aspects of the field, offering you the practical skills training necessary to enter the job market or continue on to graduate studies.

B.S. in Simulation and Game Design |  How does applied game design theory sound? Or 3-D modeling and animation?  The coursework in this program can help prepare you for graduate study or a career in information technology and computer science, as well as business and visual design.  You'll choose from one of two content areas of specialization: Technical Art or Coding and Development. | A STEM-designated program.

The program is offered on the UBalt campuas and on The Universities at Shady Grove campus.

Upper-Division Certificate in Computer Programming | A transfer-only certificate.  This 12-credit, four-course undergraduate certificate program for students with a minimum of 60 transferable credits provides the fundamental skills necessary to enter the field of computer programming, to leverage computer programming one's chosen profession or to pursue graduate study in computing and technology, without having to complete a full degree program. 

Upper-Division Certificate in Cybersecurity | A transfer-only certificate.  This 12-credit, four-course undergraduate certificate program for students with a minimum of 60 transferable credits provides the fundamental skills necessary to enter the field of cybersecurity or pursue graduate study in cybersecurity, without having to complete a full degree program.
