Commencement Programs
Your name will be listed in the program that is received on the day of Commencement
if you apply for graduation by Apr. 4 and are listed as 'Conditionally Approved, 'Program in Review', or 'Degree Awarded' by Records and Registration.
Any students that applies for graduation after Apr. 4 may still be eligible to participate
in Commencement, if 'Conditionally Approved' through Records and Registration. However,
these students who apply late will not be listed in the program that is received on
the day of Commencement due to the program creation and printing timeline.
If you would like to request updates to your name to be listed in the program, different
than what is in your MyUBalt portal, you will need to email engagement@ubalt.edu with your request between Mar. 1-Apr. 4. Please use the subject line- Commencement Name Update. You will recieve a response from the Center for Student Engagement and Inclusion
staff. If a response is not received, please email again.
Honor Society and Military Recognition information will be received from those specific
faculty or staff members who oversee these areas, so please ensure that you are checking
your email and doing any follow up with those advisors as necessary.
Latin Honors information is assigned using the student’s record from the previous
semester. Since final grades will not yet be submitted, current coursework cannot
be considered when making the honors determination for the ceremony. The final designation
earned will be awarded based on the student’s entire record and will appear on the
official transcript and diploma.
Are you unable to participate in your commencement and want a program mailed to you?
Please note that if you are approved to participate in an earlier ceremony, you should not apply to Graduate with Records and Registration (as explained above) until
