November is National Career Development Month, and in celebration The University of Baltimore's Career and Internship Center is encouraging the campus community to "Discover Your Talents" by taking the Gallup Dependable Strengths Assessment and attending a Strengths based workshop. These workshops are for UBalt students, faculty, and staff, and are being coordinated in conjunction with the Office of Human Resources.

Joshua Penrod, MBA '10, an adjunct faculty member in The University of Baltimore's Merrick School of Business, is the recipient of the 2024 Richard Bucher Award for Adjunct Faculty. The Bucher Award is named for a long-time adjunct faculty member who set a high bar for the institution's adjunct educators by delivering not only solid teaching to deserving students, but also a strong commitment to service, camaraderie within the community, and excellence in academic research and writing.
UBalt's Civic Engagement Efforts Reflected in Student Voter Participation

In an article published by the Andrew Goodman Foundation, Anthony Butler, director of The University of Baltimore's Rosenberg Center for Student Engagement and Inclusion, and Atom Zerfas, coordinator of Engagement and Service-Learning for the center, discussed the ways that the University has provided opportunities for students to become more engaged in civic affairs. The result, they say, is a campus community that is actively participating in the democratic process, to the point where UBalt is nationally recognized for that achievement.
