"Since I was about 10 years old, I was drawn to entrepreneurship, whether it was selling candies to my school friends or pleading to my mother to allow me to be a salesperson in her fabric store. I am looking forward to being a great business lady one day. My inspiration is my mother."

"The Efellows program is amazing, and I could not have wished for a better program to support me and teach me the ropes of starting and growing a venture. Mr. Mortimer, Mr. Weiss and the other mentors are very resourceful and inspiring me"
She knew that The University of Baltimore was the right place for her because it has a great accounting program and the diversity. In the fall 2020, she transferred to UBalt from Montgomery College, which is another school rich in diversity, so attending UBalt is just a perfect continuation or her and she loves it.
The name of her business is Biamawu. It falls into the home decoration and self-care industry. She is pursuing this business because she is fascinated about aesthetics. She believes that being surrounded by beautiful, exquisite decorations is essential for well-being and for a happier life. She travels to West Africa frequently and finds that some of the arts, the paintings, the sculptures would be highly coveted here in the U.S.
So far, she has learned a lot in the Efellow program. She says that she's learned more about branding, digital marketing, market research, sales funnels, personal finance, and finding venture capital than she expected. Attending the Efellow meetings and the other business meetings has sharpened her networking and her ideas and pitching skills. She is grateful and excited to be part of the Efellow!
In ten years, she see herself becoming a household name when it comes to African decoration.
"I see my business flourishing and generating few millions of dollars. I see my business having a great reputation."
