Workshops

Conflict Management Offers Workshops

UB's Conflict Management Service will host two workshops in December, both designed to enlighten the community about the nature of conflict and how to successfully manage and resolve differences with others.

On Wednesday, Dec. 2, from 3 to 5 p.m., "Basic Conflict Management" will be offered in AC 252. This session will focus on managing disputes and disagreements in a positive way. You will learn how to recognize the causes of interpersonal conflict, become more aware of emotional triggers and learn conflict management strategies to improve your communication, performance and success.

For more information and to R.S.V.P. for this session, go here.

On Tuesday, Dec. 8, from 3 to 5 p.m., "Conflict in the Movies" will be offered, also in AC 252. This session will consider the behavior of characters in conflict in movies and TV shows, and how these scenarios can inform daily life. What types of approaches escalate conflicts? How do certain behaviors contribute to explosions? What can we do to to resolve and heal conflicts?

For more information and to R.S.V.P. for this session, go here.

Both of these workshops fulfill a leadership requirement for Leadership UB
