Do your writing skills need help? Do your subjects and verbs agree? Do you know where to place commas? Do you know how to write to your audience? Join us for this informative and fun workshop facilitated by John Chapin, coordinator of Writing Services for the Academic Resource Center.

Developing Your Creativity
Oct. 28, 1:30 to 4 p.m.
Location: William H. Thumel Sr. Business Center, Room 221

Are you naturally creative? Can creativity be learned and practiced like a skill? This workshop is based on the premise that the answer to these questions is “yes”. Participants will learn some of the things that hold them back from using their natural creativity and have an opportunity to score themselves on a creative scale.

HR Hosts 'Retirement Week,' Nov. 2-6

The Office of Human Resources will host "Retirement Week 2009," a series of seminars for UB employees to consider how to plan for retirement, Nov. 2-6. The seminars will host retirement specialists from TIAA-CREF, Fidelity, UB's Employee Assistance Program, and elsewhere to help employees determine how to save for retirement.
